Whitewater

White Water first formed in 1976 as Revolver. Soon after playing a fundraiser for a northern Nevada food pantry, Revolver changed their name to White Water and started a long tradition of Improving their community by using their music to bring people together to support nonprofit and government agencies! Original members Michael Kelley, lead vocals/ bass and Mike Biselli, drums, have been playing music together since the late 1970s. White Water released their first EP on MCF Records in 1986. The EP was rereleased on CD in 2017 with all proceeds beneflttlng The Children’s Cabinet. White Water added Michele Mebust, lead vocals and percussion, Tim Patterson, vocals and keyboards and Bryan Shaddix, vocals and guitar and became White WaterRetooled. The band is in the unique situation of having two talented lead vocalists in Mike Kelley and Michele Mebust. Tim and Bryan round out the strong vocal harmonies and add lead vocals themselves. These musicians have been playing local and national venues since the 1970s. With years of experience from playing large concerts, nonprofit fundraisers to the most intimate private parties, White Water Retooled can meet any need, playing all your favorite Classic Rock, Rhythm & Blues as well as Country songs from the 1950s to present. White Water Retooled has been recognized by the State of Nevada Governor’s Office as well as receiving a Commendation from the Sparks City Council for their commitment to Improving lives through their partnership with many nonprofit and government organizations. White Water Retooled has opened for BJ Thomas and Cold Blood as well as headlining many concerts themselves. After an unprecedented year with venues closing due to the Worldwide pandemic, White Water Retooled again wanted to make a positive impact on their community. In 2021, after not playing live for many months, White Water Retooled began a partnership to help the RENO BATTLE BORN VFW POST 9211 that had lost an incredible amount of revenue due to the pandemic. White Water Retooled band members planned and organized three fundralsers for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, including a Fall Music Festival & Fundraiser featuring five bands, a silent auction and raffle. In addition to playing music to support Veterans, White Water Retooled also partnered with the City of Sparks to play at their Hello Summer Celebrations to spotlight the cleanup the City of Sparks HOPES TEAM accomplished at Rock Park!
