RBS Mission Statement:
To increase the awareness of the culture, history and diversity of Blues music through education and participation in community events. We do this by organizing several dances and shows at various venues in the area including a Veteran’s benefit dance in November, a Mardi Gras dance and silent auction in February, a spring dance, a summer BBQ with a live Blues band as well as other Blues shows we put on or co-sponsor with other organizations or promoters. Additionally we take part in various Blues festivals in the area including BBQ, Brews and Blues and Battle Axe and Tracks as well as helping to sponsor Bluesdays Tuesdays during the summer months at The Village at Palisades Tahoe. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID 80-0016293), we are an all volunteer-run organization. Proceeds from our events, memberships and donations fund our operations as well as providing music grants to area students ages 12-18 and helping to sponsor other Blues events in Northern Nevada.

During the warmer months we hold a monthly happy hour at various bars & restaurants in the area so check the website or our regular newsletters for details. Our membership year runs July 1 through June 30 and individual memberships are just $25 a year or $40 for two years. Couples & families can join for $35 a year or $50 for two years and Lifetime Trustees pay $250 and never have to renew again.
