Bonamassa debuted at just twelve years old, when he was opening for giants like B.B. King in 1989, playing more than 20 shows on the weekends only - because he still had school.
He didn’t stay unknown for long. He has shattered all expectations with 27 #1 Billboard blues albums, more than any other artist in recorded history.
In a 2008 interview with British newspaper Express and Star, Bonamassa said, “When I heard Rod Sewart and the Jeff Beck Group singing, Let Me Love You, it changed my life. I knew exactly what I wanted to do.”
In his now 35-year career, Bonamassa has snagged three Grammy nominations for Best Blues Album (2013), Best Traditional Blues Album (2016), and Best Contemporary Blues Album (2022).

His vocals and harmonica playing are smooth and silky, but he can also get down and dirty with the best of them. It will surely be a treat to have this international talent onstage in Midtown Reno!

G.I.R.L.S. Rock Reno is the recipient of two Reno Blues Society music grants. This entertainment will be the result of their annual music camp experience, and probably not blues music. But if you can, go out and support these budding musicians! There will be fund"raging" opportunities. Suggested ticket $10

A red-hot rockin' blues band from the North Lake Tahoe and Reno area, The Blues Monsters were voted the #1 blues band in North Lake Tahoe for 7 years running "Blues Access" a national publication reviewed their 2nd CD "Live Vibrations" and could it be said any better, "this band has all the ingredients for a great show." The Reno Gazette Journal stated "this CD should be used as a teaching tool for anyone who wanted to record a live CD."
