For his latest CD, Andy Santana has resurrected the infamous West Coast Playboys. Watch Your Step! features an army of talent including guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Kid Andersen, longtime musical companions Mighty Mike Schermer and June Core, as well as Bay Area blues stalwarts Rusty Zinn, Anthony Paule, Bob Welsh and others. Here Andy’s originals stand alongside some interesting covers that have the iconoclastic sensibilities of a true American original.

While listening to Watch Your Step! it is as if you are in a New Orleans dance hall that just happens to be on a beach in California. Sorry Santa Cruz, your secret is out of the bag.

Andy Santana was inducted in to the Sacramento Blues Hall of Fame on September 30, 2018 along with AJ Joyce, Jimmy Morello and RW Grigsby. There was also a special tribute to the late Frankie Lee.

The ceremony took place at Harlow's followed by a showcase at the Torch Club.

As an artist, singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Samantha Fish has earned numerous accolades for her unique self-expression, which she channels through explosive riffs, visceral rhythms, and spine-tingling vocals. Her talent has been recognized by none other than Eric Clapton, who invited her to perform at his Crossroads 2023 in Los Angeles. This summer, Fish is set to embark on a thrilling journey, first joining SLASH on his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour, then taking part in the Experience Hendrix Tour. She will return to the U.K. this Fall, before wrapping up the year with the Bulletproof tour, where she will showcase songs from her extensive repertoire.

Samantha’s latest effort for Rounder Records, Death Wish Blues (2023,) was a collaboration with renegade rocker Jesse Dayton. The album was nominated for a 2024 GRAMMY® – Best Contemporary Blues Album and was #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart for three consecutive weeks.

On Naked Truth (his 21st album), Ellis swaps his blistering, guitar-fueled full band workouts for equally passionate, soul-searching acoustic folk blues. His famed guitar chops and musical creativity are on full display throughout the album’s 12 songs, including nine newly written originals. Naked Truth was produced by Ellis, with the foot-stomping cover of Son House’s Death Letter Blues produced by Atlanta roots musician Eddie 9V. The album was recorded live in the studio using Ellis’ beloved 1969 Martin D-35 (a gift from his father) and his 1937 National Steel O Series guitars. Whether intricately fingerpicking the Martin or playing hair-raising slide on the National Steel, Ellis delivers each song with unvarnished intimacy.
