RBS Mission:
To increase the awareness of the culture, history and diversity of Blues music through education and participation in community events. We do this through several dances and shows we put on at various venues in the area including a Veteran’s benefit dance in November, a Mardi Gras dance and silent auction in February, a spring dance, a summer bbq with a blues band as well as various other blues shows we put on or co-sponsor with other organizations or promoters. Additionally we take part in various blues festivals in the area including BBQ, Brews and Blues and Battle Axe and Tracks as well helping to sponsor Bluesday Tuesdays in the summer at The Village at Palisades Tahoe. As a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization (Tax ID 80-0016293), we an all volunteer-run organization. Proceeds from our events fund our operations as well as provide music grants to area students ages 12-18 and help sponsor Bluesday Tuesdays at Palisades Tahoe.

During the warmer months we hold a monthly happy hour at various bars & restaurants in the area so check the website or my regular newsletters for details. Our membership year runs July 1 through June 30 and dues are just $20 a year or $30 for two years. Couples & families can join for $30 a year or $50 for two years and Lifetime Trustees pay $200 and never have to renew again.
